housing...

So we decided to wait as far as buying a house, we cancelled our meeting w/ the bank. We are going to rent to make sure the area is what we want. It's still exciting to look at places that neither of us has lived before. We are soo ready for some warmer weather!!! Our anniversary is coming up fast!! Hard to believe it's almost been a year!!! We are hoping to take time to get away for a LONG weekend!!! Somewhere warm would be ideal! The weather has made it difficult to get up to Mason to see family...So glad my mom is coming down this weekend!!! Lets just hope the weather stays nice! So much is going on, and we stay busy! We have our 1st Annual McHenry Family Weekend coming up March 13-14! Looking forward to spending quality time with the family!!!

LOOKING FOR A HOUSE...too buy?!?!?!?!?

So much has changed, we have a meeting w/ the bank to get pre-approved to buy, yes BUY a house!!! We decided we should try to take advantage of the tax credit while we have a chance!! We will be looking in Ankeny, and are really just excited to start over in a new town!!! We both love the town, and look forward to raising our family there!! No we are not starting a family as of yet, we will keep you posted!!! Things are great here, just celebrated out FIRST Valentine's Day as the McHenry's!!! It was actually a pretty laid back day!! I had just worked and overnight so i slept til 2, and Michael watched the race!!! Weekends just seem to get away from us! So i will be looking for a job soon in Ankeny, probably try to get in at one of the Child Serve town homes, and do hair part time while i build a clientele! So many emotions are going through my mind right now!!! Welp that is all i really have for now!!

Starting a new year!!

Last fall, we made a decision to allow God to show us whether He wants us to move to Iowa City to help out with Cornerstones Church plant or remain here in Ames. We have been praying that God would open and shut doors. We are still willing to go if He calls us to go, but as of right now we are planning on staying in central Iowa. Michael just started a new job, working for KARL Chevrolet, which he is really enjoying!! This is SUCH a huge praise, b/c as many of you know, the economy has cost us a pretty good job...way back last July. We have been blessed by God and encouraged by His provision for us. We are, however, looking to move closer to the Des Moines area to be closer to his work. I would be able to find a salon for sure, just praying that a clientele would grow fast!! I am currently working at the Salon at YOUNKERS and i love the company!!! Cooper...well what can be said about him??? He had his yearly check-up Monday, and the vet was VERY pleased!!! He is such a good dog and has such a personality!!! He makes us laugh CONSTANTLY!!! For now we are staying put!! But our lease is up the end of the summer so we will be moving somewhere!! We just REALLY have no idea!!! :) It's been fun trying to figure out what God has for us!! We will DEFINITELY keep everyone posted!!
